 THERES ONLY  ONE “F” IN FINBAR

Theres two eyes in the head, and two sides to a bed
You can have two beers and still drive your car
And theres two shots of liquor in an ‘auld whiskey jigger
But theres only  one ‘F’ in Finbar.!

Theres Portland in Oregon, Portland in Maine
And Columbus in Ohio and Georgia
Theres Springfield in Illinois Springfield Missouri
But there’s only one ‘F’ in Finbar!

Theres a bush in me garden and one in the White House
neither one seems as bright as a star
I know an ass in a farmyard, and another from Harvard
But theres  only one ‘F’ in Finbar!

Even Noah saved two, of all the creatures he knew
When he herded them onto the Ark
But I got left out when Noah  found out
That theres only the one ‘F’ in Finbar!

And if ever my wife, that great love of my life
tries to run me down with her car
I’ll take her aside and remind her with pride
That theres only  one ‘F’ in Finbar!
               
And when I get to Heaven and those two Pearly Gates
And St Peter is standing at gaurd
Agh! the Devil in Hell will want me as well
But theres only one ‘F’ in Finbar!

And so gra mo chroi, it seems clear to me
That I’m better off here at the bar
Cause angels are many, and sinners are plenty
But theres only one ‘F’ in Finbar!
